How You'll Make a Difference: Come join our beautiful Aurora Medical Center Summit! We are a Level 2 Trauma Center and growing! The CNA provides basic patient care in the clinical setting under the daily direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN). MedSurg 3 is an 18 bed unit; patients consist mostly of medical patients with the following admission diagnosis: stroke, chest pain, flu symptoms, renal failure, pain control, chemotherapy, oncology, pneumonia, heart failure, fevers, seizures, asthma, COPD exacerbation, sepsis, failure to thrive, and hospice. Assists the RN with the daily care of patients. Measures and documents blood pressures, TPRs (temperature, pulse, respiration), I & O (intake and output), daily weights, and other patient data as requested. Documents requested information and promptly communicates observations, concerns, and needs of the patient to the RN. Ensures patient call light is in reach of patient at all times; answers call-lights promptly. Prepares patient rooms for admission/discharge and assists with the patient admission/discharge process. Maintains and orders stock for nursing area; cleans equipment and work areas. Assists with post-mortem care. Performs various patient positioning and transporting duties. What it Will Take: Licenses & Certifications Nurse Aide (CNA) n good standing with the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry. Degrees Advanced training beyond High School (high school diploma) that includes the completion of an accredited or approved program in Nursing Assistant. Required Functional Experience No experience required. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Excellent written and oral communication. Excellent organizational skills and ability to set priorities. Scheduled Hours: Includes every other weekend with rotating holidays.
