Position: Sourcing Manager

Type: Full-time, Professional – Direct Hire

Location: DePere, WI

With multiple locations across the United States, a growing and fast paced company is in search of a Sourcing Manager. This position reports directly to the Sr. VP of Global Operations.

Job Overview - This critical role is responsible for buying, selling, and managing the flow of products as well as negotiating contracts and evaluating suppliers. The ideal candidate has a combination of leadership skills, product knowledge, industry savvy and prior experience overseeing the daily workflow, budget, and schedules of the purchasing department.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage purchasing processes to achieve organizational objectives and goals.
  • Develop specifications and select qualified vendors to source components and/or finished goods from vendors.
  • Determine the best products and suppliers in terms of value, delivery schedules, and quality.
  • Negotiate pricing and supply contracts with vendors.
  • Manage vendor master data
  • Identify and implement cost savings strategies.
  • Manage all inventory management processes that record deliveries, shipments, and stock levels.
  • Ensure optimal stock levels of inventory are maintained by anticipating inventory shortages or excessive surpluses.
  • Manage disposition plan of materials including RMAs.
  • Manage cycle count process/reconciliation and physical inventory integrity.
  • Be an active and energetic participant in a “hands-on” work environment and lead the team by setting both the pace and example on a daily basis. 
  • Requirements:

  • Bachelor''s degree is preferred with three years of proven work experience
  • Previous experience managing a budget and negotiating bids and contracts
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills and strong attention to detail
  • Solid ability to meet all deadlines in an organized and timely manner
  • Ability to travel up to 10% for vendor visits, including possible overseas trips
  • Strong analytical, negotiation and problem-solving abilities
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to effectively and coach train others
  • Proven successful time and priority management skills
  • Experience with purchasing modules within an ERP system.
