Implement a staff driven process to evaluate all patient feedback and develop systems of care that are highly responsive to patients needs and desires.

Develop an environment that is responsive to physician practice requirements including standards of practice, new-technology acquisition, implementation of new services and procedures.
Develop and implement mechanisms to assure responsiveness to referral sources including clinics, hospitals and outside agencies.
Assures all services and the practice environment meet all applicable regulations and standards.
Serves as the medical center representative for onsite service reviews/ inspections to determine compliance.
Assures that all services are developed, evaluated and improved consistent with the CQI Philosophy.
Develops master staffing plans that assure 24 hour availability of the expertise needed to meet the demands for care.
Hires all personnel utilizing mechanisms to assure cultural fit, staff involvement and required skills.
Implement systems to assure services are provided effectively, efficiently and in a manner that promotes staff recruitment and retention.
Administers all aspects of human resource and other administrative policies including policy interpretation, disciplinary action as indicated and termination when necessary.
Administers payroll systems.
Administers the performance review system.
Assures the effectiveness of the unit based shared decision making model through assessing individual staff development and skills, assuring appropriate plans for skill development are in place and evaluating outcomes against identified goals.
Assures effective systems of staff development are in place including mandatory training, new member orientation and staff identified needs/desires.
Models continuous learning and skill building through a personal plan of development.
Assures an environment of teamwork and collaboration is achieved through information sharing, fostering effective giving and receiving of feedback, encouraging the consideration of varied points of view and modeling behavior of honesty, integrity and trust.
The manager is accountable for contributing to the strategic direction of the medical center and for planning within the area(s) of responsibility including (but not limited to):
Serves as the local expert in the area of responsibility contributing volume projections, new technology developments and new service opportunities to the strategic planning process.
Develops business plans to support the introduction of new services and/or programs.
Provides the operations input into performance development to evaluate existing services.
Serves on the medical center strategic planning committee on a rotational basis.
Assumes primary accountability for new services development including facility design, technology and equipment acquisition, hiring and training of personnel, compliance with regulations and standards, billing processes, ancillary support etc.
Provides leadership in hospital wide or system wide initiatives to improve processes, build skills, and acquire technology or information systems as requested.
The manager is accountable for assuring a physical environment that supports practice excellence and for the procurement of all material resources essential to the provision of care.
Assures unit design effectively supports patient care through staff involvement in facility planning, architectural development and material selection.
Implements systems that assure accessibility of all materials, equipment and supplies essential to patient care in area(s) of responsibility.
The manager contributes to budget development with the Administrative Director.
