The Catering Manager manages and provides direct supervision of University Catering and assists with retail operations. This position ensures that the departmental standards for product quality and service are met, monitors and controls costs, monitors and assists with catering invoicing, and provides input for short- and long-term planning for the operations. This position also works cooperatively with the dining team to guarantee successful operation of all Student Center operations, helping as necessary. Anticipated start date is May 2020.

University Dining Service is a self-operated auxiliary on the UW-Stout Campus with a $10 million budget. The department has three facilities that house and provide services at other location across the campus, including: Merle Price Commons, North Point Dining, and the Memorial Student Center. There are two cafeterias, Merle Price Commons Cafeteria and North Point Cafeteria, retail outlets in the Memorial Student Center (food court & marketplace), express locations in academic buildings, and convenience stores. Campus catering and concessions are also included in the department. The department has 47 permanent staff and over 400 student employees. Some locations operate year-round, and others are closed during the summer period.
